What are you most looking forward to?
Finding out about the financial forecasting improvements to budgeting which are rumoured for V20 as I believe this will be the most exciting accounting update that’s expected for V20.
What do you want to bring back for our clients?
A lot of clients this year have had issues with how inventory is feeding into the accounting module (auto stock releases, correct COG values etc), which is causing headaches when trying to efficiently run the month end management accounts. I want to find the solution. – also hoping to come back with more Odoo mugs!!
Who would you like to meet?
The developers who are working to enhance the use of AI in Odoo, particularly with the improvements to agentic AI hinted for V20 and find out how people are already using it for day-to-day tasks, monthly reporting, data cleansing & automations. It would be good to explore how people are using this in their Odoo systems (both Odoo’s own ai engine & external connectors to the likes of Claude etc).

What are you looking to learn about at Odoo Experience this year?
Excited to learn how Odoo is evolving to support businesses, including the latest developments in areas such as accounting, reporting and AI. It is key for us to make sure we continue to optimise the automation of processes using Odoo, to ensure that alongside saving time for our clients, we can provide accurate and useful information for business owners, helping to add value to their businesses.
What one thing you’re hoping to bring back from Odoo Experience that will benefit our clients and support them?
Looking to bring back examples of how businesses are using Odoo to improve financial reporting and reduce manual work. The real benefit for clients would be turning that knowledge into better advice — helping to identify where technology can save time, improve accuracy and give better visibility of accounting records.
If you could have one conversation with an Odoo partner while you’re there, what would you want to talk about?
I’d be interested in discussing what has made the biggest difference for them or their clients, where they’ve seen businesses struggle, and what they wish they had known earlier. I’d also like to understand how they work alongside their respective finance teams, and where they see the biggest opportunities for collaboration.

Dermot, what are you looking forward to for the event in 2026?
Really looking forward to returning to the Odoo Experience in Belgium for the 4th time and taking 2 of our Odoo Accountants with me. We are all looking forward to a fully packed agenda, connecting and re-connecting with members of the wider Odoo family and coming away with more best practices to put into action in our business.
