When we set up your accounting with us, we will also provide assistance with registering the company or yourself for PAYE, VAT, CIS and corporation tax if required – its all part of the service.

What does Kennedys Accounting do?
As your Business Bodyguard, Kennedys Accounting can:

What does Kennedys Accounting charge?
Our payment terms couldn't be simpler. We charge an agreed monthly fee for the services you require. The services will be agreed at the offset and can be amended as the business changes and grows. Fees are calculated on an annual basis but paid monthly in advance to help with cashflow.
We are generous with our time, and all clients are given an accountancy manager to look after them. We don’t like jargon, instead we like to talk in plain English, so we all know what we mean.

Meet The Team
Dermot Kennedy
Managing Director
Having been a part of Kennedys Accounting from its beginning in 2014, Dermot brings over 30 years of experience in accountancy and finance to the team, having worked in businesses all over the world, including Virgin Group in London and Parbury PLC in Australia, as well as the the role of Financial Controller for one of Ireland's largest recruitment companies. Dermot loves business and working closely with our clients is what makes him tick! Dermot also coaches football and is a keen supporter of Irish Rugby.
Annette (Nettie) Buss
Business Development Director
Nettie joined Kennedys Accounting in 2015, and brings her background in business management which encompasses a background in banking, business development and business support, having also supported start-ups and previously worked for a CiC. Her extensive experience in the running and development of companies is where her passion lies and she enjoys working directly with business owners. Nettie is also on the local board of East Kent College as well as Chairperson for the Ashford Economic Development Group. An avid fan of Tennis and Rugby as well as playing golf.
Marie Backler
Customer Experience Manager
Marie joined the Kennedys Accounting team after 25 years in a variety of business banking roles. She combines broad-ranging experience with a keen passion for customer service. It was that same dynamic attitude that drew her to Kennedys Accounting, along with the opportunity to meet new and varied clients.
Daniel Buckles
Payroll Manager
Daniel is an intrinsic part of our accounting team having been with us since 2016. Daniel was promoted to Payroll Manager in 2023, and with his sound accountancy background in various accounting departments he brings with him an exceptional amount of experience and is always willing to assist clients.
Chris Wood
Accountant
Having an enthusiasm for business and accounting, Chris started working in accountancy when he finished school and is now studying to become an ACCA chartered accountant. Also, a keen golfer for which he represented the county and has been a Junior Captain at a local club, Chris would always be up for a round!
Niamh McDonagh MAAT
Accountant
Niamh started her accounting career when she was 19 and passed her MAAT qualification in August 2021. Having since gained experience working with a variety of businesses, Niamh is now continuing her studies to become a Chartered Accountant here at Kennedys Accounting. Niamh enjoys exploring the outdoors with her two very energetic border collies Jura and Oban (named after whiskey).
Janarden (Jin) Srithanan
Accountant
Working towards his full ACCA accreditation as an accountant, Jin already has good experience working with clients. With an academic background in Mathematical Science with Finance and Economics, Jin works with clients on everything from completing company accounts to filing Self Assessment, CIS and VAT returns.
Emily Rogers MAAT
Accountant
At Kennedys Accounting, we pride ourselves on finding and developing outstanding talent - and Emily Rogers fits the bill perfectly. Emily has been working in the accounting field ever since leaving school and we’re delighted to have her as part of our team.
Ollie Edwards BSc (Hons)
Accountant
Ollie started his accounting career in September 2021 following graduation from university with a bachelors degree in mathematics. Having worked with a wide variety of businesses already, he is looking to further his experience by studying to become an ACCA chartered accountant. Ollie is both an avid footballer and golfer, who doesn’t like to keep quiet about his beloved Chelsea!
Nicola Moffitt
Customer Experience Support and Bookkeeper
Nicola joins us with a background in accountancy administration, a pivotal role in which she will oversee any company changes for clients at Companies House, including incorporation of companies and the annual confirmation statement filings, amongst other key duties.
Nicola is a qualified bookkeeper and has a growing portfolio of clients in-house that she looks after.
Emma Alford
Customer Experience Support and Accounts Assistant
With a career in customer experience in a variety of businesses including working for a building contractor, Emma has a passion for customer service and helping clients with any questions they may have, she is often the first voice you hear when you call the office. Emma also uses her bookkeeping experience and undertakes work for a number of in-house clients.
